With the weather outside being what it is, today seemed like an appropriate time to post about planning for the winter. Our meat will be available at the Farmers Market in Belleville until Thanksgiving weekend. After that date we will be happy to deliver through the winter. If anyone has requests for larger orders, sides or quarters, now is the time to get them in. We will be planning a trip to the abattoir for winter orders over the next month. Keep your eyes on the website for updates on eggs and chickens. We are currently taking orders for our next batch of chickens which will be late December and eggs will be available whenever the hens feel so inclined to start laying them (they are taking their time). Looking forward to seeing everyone for a few more weeks at the Farmers Market.

Wanted to let everyone know there will be a delay on any new beef available at the Farmer’s Market. We still have some ground beef, stewing meat and roasts but it will be at least a month before we have a fresh supply of steaks unfortunately. Our cow of choice decided she would rather join the rest of the cows in pasture than get shipped to the abbattoir (not that I blame her). So, we’re working on getting her back in but it’s alittle out of our hands at the moment. I will keep you posted on the progress.
